This high relief bust of a gentleman is an 18th century work.
In carved oak, the profile highlights the finesse of long curly hair. The strength of the face is rendered by the very present nose, the strong gaze and the beard clearly delimiting the chin from the neck.
The contrast of the folds of the collar with those of the garment harmoniously complements all the sculpted work in relief which adds strength to this man.
The bottom of this circular sculpture, fixed on a metal base, gives movement to this very decorative profile.
In good condition, some cracks and slight losses
