Born in Algeria, Arlette Angla-Duchemin studied at the School of Fine Arts in Algiers in the early 1950s. The young painter obtained the Algerian Artistic Grand Prix in 1955 then left the country in 1956 to continue her training. in Paris.
Some of his paintings are kept at the Museum of Fine Arts in Algiers.
