Pia Tassinari made her debut as a soprano in 1927 in the role of Mimì in Giacomo Puccini's Bohème.
From 1932 to 1937 he sang at the Teatro alla Scala, returning there in the 1945-46 seasons.
In the years 1933-43 and 1951-1952 he sang at the Rome Opera and at the New York Metropolitan between 1947 and 1948.
