Very nice portrait of a french lady dressed and with her hair done as it was fashionable at the time, ie around 1820 / 1830.

Henri Grévedon designed about twenty series of large-scale lithographic "portraits" of fashionable women, between 1828 and 1840 ( in : "Portraits of Fantasy, Portraits of Fashion by Susan L. Siegfried, University of Michigan. nonsite.org, article, issue #14).
Amongst the most popular were : "le Vocabulaire des Dames, 24 portraits, and "le Miroir des Dames ou Nouvel Alphabet français", 25 portraits.
