"A Malay 'padri' Matchlock "
A late 18th to 19th century Malay 'Padri' or 'Satingar' matchlock musket. One of three currently for sale. These are heavy guns. They don't have a ramrod. The lowerling of the bullit was achieved simply by stumping the gun with the butt on the ground. This example has been restored by a professional restorer. The bolt in front of the trigger guard is handcrafted replacement. Original brass parts with some having remains of silver gilding. 168cm.
