Biography: Trumper August (Trümper Julius Amandus) was born on December 31, 1874, in Altona. He was a German painter, aquarellist and drawer of landscapes, waterscapes and nudes. He was also a professor and designer.
Trumper studied with master teacher and painter G. Strube. He made some study trips abroad and stayed three months in Rome.
The painter died on October 12, 1956, in Oberhausen. Today, his paintings can be found in private and public collections, including in the Trier Museum, Germany.
