A rare example in superb condition.
Engraved on the top of the cage the brand of the manufacturer (T and L entwined) and "Patented SGDG".
In a cage with two uprights, strongly bolted, the pusher is moved by a rack activated by the wooden handle. The cork placed in the round pyramidal chute is forced by the pusher towards the neck of the bottle.
All moving parts operate effortlessly: drive pinion and rack teeth are not scored or worn.
No traces of xylophagous insects on the wooden handle.
Marks of use on the nickel plating.
