"Oil And Vinegar Cruet Ghent 1788, Sterling Silver, Goldsmith Bourgeois"
Very pretty oil cruet from the Louis XVI period, from the hand of the famous Ghent goldsmith JG Bourgeois. It bears the hallmark of the master silversmith and the three regulatory hallmarks of the city of Ghent for the year 1788. It contains two decanters from the eighteenth century which have unfortunately lost their stoppers. The goldsmith abundantly decorated the frame of the oil cruet with all that the neoclassical register has as decorative elements. The result is both rich and elegant.
