"Oval Meat Dish, Apt 1780, Sterling Silver, Master Goldsmith Gaspard Burel"
Extremely rare and lovely meat dish from the Louis XVI period with the hallmarks of the city of Apt in the jurisdiction of Aix-en-Provence for the year 1780 and with the hallmark of a master silversmith by Gaspard Burel, received master in 1777. Rather solid and heavy for its size, it is perfectly suited for regular use on a beautiful, well-laid table. Other generations of owners have already done it, which gives it a real old patina of knife marks and light scratches. Weight 742 grams.
