Object description :

"Processional Cross In Bronze - Eighteenth"
This imposing large processional cross was once raised by means of a rod which was screwed into its base.

It is in gilt bronze, the three extremities have an openwork shell motif and the base with an oval medallion in volutes surmounting a shell. If the shell is spontaneously associated with the pilgrims of Santiago de Compostela, it is in fact the symbol of any pilgrimage and therefore has ... a legitimate place on a processional cross.
In the center of this beautiful room is a radiant glory on which rests Christ on the Cross.

It measures 78.5 cm by 52 cm, wide

Good condition but wear of gilding.
