Mahogany Flat Desk, Restoration Period - Early 19th Century

Elegant Mid-level Miter-Framed Flat Desk, Burl Mahogany Veneer. The Upper offers a Dark Green Leather in three elements, decorated in the center with a golden Pattern, as well as Golden Vignettes and Cold Vignettes in its Perimeter. This Leather is framed by a symmetrical veneer of Burl Mahogany, whose Border is double Molding. On each side, we discover a Tablet designed in the same spirit as the top of the Desk: Green leather, Vignettes and entourage in Burl Mahogany. On the front, there are several drawers underlined by small strips, two independent drawers on the left, a larger one in the center, and a double on the right. The interior of the latter is composed of a coin compartment with four compartments. By removing this compartment, a cache with lid is revealed, locked: the top slides once opened, leaving room for an interesting storage space. The Keyholes are in Original Bronze and in working order with the four keys added. This Desk rests on four Double Twisted Legs, which decrease in width towards the bottom. The Sides and Back are also Burl Mahogany, making it a Perfect Middle Cabinet. This Bicentenary Property will give you a substantial Workspace, its Extensible Ends and its Multiple Storage will allow you to be at ease once installed, without clutter. ******** Period: 1st part of the 19th century.
