Durand-Ruel, who supported and imposed his father, exhibits his paintings. Reading the Thousand and One Nights converted him to Orientalism, and he presented the fruit of his reveries at the third Salon d'Automne in 1906. In the years that followed, Ambroise Vollard and Duret exhibited his purely decorative works influenced by the Art Nouveau, while it stands out in the animal genre.
