Oil on panel representing the Holy Family.
This painting made by an artist (Flemish?) at the beginning of the seventeenth century who owned an engraving of this famous painting by Federico Barocci currently kept at the National Gallery in London.
The scene is therefore represented in reverse reading from the original:
The Virgin breastfeeds the Child Jesus and Saint Joseph in the upper left looks at the scene,
Saint John holds a goldfinch, symbol of the Passion of Christ, and teases the cat in the lower right.
On the back an old collection label with a number and an illegible inscription.
