"Pair Of Sconces With Baby Zephyr, 18th Century"
Pair of gilt bronze sconces with two arms of light, on the plate a representation of Zephyr, chiselled with flowers, feathers and acanthus leaves, the arms with scrolls, the basins and the binets with rococo decoration. These sconces were melted around the middle of the 18th century, as evidenced by the sand-cast plates, the two-part binets called "shell", the threads of the assembly screws. Beautiful original gilding with small wear from use, basins and binets discreetly drilled for electrification.
