Important pair of gilt bronze sconces with two Regency style sconces. This superb model, of large dimensions, known as "to the Putti blowers" or "to the Zéphyr", was immensely successful in the first third of the 18th century. Each applique presents a beautiful face of Putto with swollen cheeks and which begins to blow hence their name. The edition that we present here is a work of high quality bronzier dating from the end of the XIXth century / beginning of the XXth century. These wall lights are now equipped with candles but they are drilled for electricity and could be electrified again in a very discreet way. Very good condition and exceptional patina.
