Pair of 19th century or 18th century sculptures representing a pair of mandarins or Chinese scholars in gilded and polychrome wood. Very nice decorative effect for these two rare mandarins in pairs having preserved their gilding and their polychromy. Slight differences of realization in the details and in the colors giving of course a unique and original character to each of these works. Very good state of conservation for their age.
