He continued the family bronze-edition business after entering the Beaux-Arts, where he was taught by Barrias and Coutan, both famous French sculptors and winners of the Prix de Rome. The evolution of his work and his artistic career is marked by the different fashions of his time. Indeed, from the start he mastered classical themes, such as childhood, then Art Nouveau, with women and flowers, Art Deco and neoclassical themes. He exhibited for the first time at the Salon in 1896 and is still present there after 1945. His works were mainly plaster sketches which were then made in bronze.
