"Armchair In Solid Mahogany, Louis XVI Style - 1900s"
Louis XVI style armchair with structure in solid mahogany and caning in perfect condition. Its high round, arched and slightly curved backrest is molded and scalloped around its perimeter. Its inner part is woven with a cane. We find the same process for the seat of this seat, lined with fine moldings designed with knockouts, along its oblong belt. This is caned in its center, thus constituting a flexible and comfortable seat base. The console armrests, curved and set back, are embellished with scrolls and an acanthus leaf on their facades. They have cuffs in their original state and covered with brown leather, in harmony with the entire seat, and with aged nail finishes. All of this furniture rests on four spindle-shaped legs, topped with decorations sculpted in foliage then with grooves stopped in their drop. This armchair with its timeless natural tone combines the elegance of classic furniture and comfort. It will ideally find its place in a refined living room and is just waiting for you for a moment of relaxation. ******** Period: 1900 Perfect condition after restoration in our workshop.
