"Comb From The Solomon Islands "
Long comb made with small strips of wood assembled with buri nut gum and vegetable ties.These models of combs with refined decorations are characteristic of the islands of the south-east of the Solomon archipelago (Ulawa, Makira, and Malaita).
The top of the object is decorated with very fine fibers of yellow orchid.
The same plant is used to make a small asymmetrical decoration on one edge of the comb.
Good general condition, the tip of a tooth is missing.
