Very beautiful Empire-Consulate style six-light chandelier in gilded bronze and cut crystal.
Beautiful work of cast and gilded bronze for this superb chandelier from the beginning of the 20th century, masterfully crafted by the bronzier.
The bronzes are very finely worked and chiseled and gilded.
The three crystal elements forming the cup surmounted by the flame and the ceiling light are finely cut, they have finishing chamfers around their edges (the crystal is beautiful, thick and heavy and sounds very clear with a beautiful timbre (this work is similar to that of the Baccarat crystal factory). In addition, I was able to notice that for attention to detail, even the crystal part under the rosette is cut with a star. As for the gilding, it is in very beautiful condition.
For information, this luminaire has just undergone a restoration; cleaning of the gilding, crystal elements, repair of its electrification (replacement of fabric-wrapped wires) the lampholders are in wood and brass, the false candles in white opaline of the XIXth century. The whole assembly has been checked for so that this chandelier is ready to be set up.
