Object of showcase or decoration par excellence.
Superb pair of wedding vases in chiseled silver metal "repoussé" from Persia (Iran) at the beginning of the 20th century, in perfect condition.
On each vase, the body is decorated with three large medallions decorated with birds, parrots, birds of paradise...
frolicking in interlacing and flowers, playing in the foliage. Object often offered as a wedding gift in Persia.
The collar is embellished with an engraved scallop at the hem.
Under each vase, two punches in Persian calligraphy and numbers are applied.
This type of vase so finely executed in repoussé is rare in pair.

On each vase, the belly is decorated with three large medallions decorated with cranes frolicking in interlacing and flowers, accompanied by birds playing in the foliage.
The crane, "symbol of love and fidelity", (wedding gift).
The collar is embellished with a garland of flowers engraved on the hem.
Under each vase, three oriental punches in Persian calligraphy are applied.
