""louis Pasteur" Rare Lost Wax By Théodore Rivière."
Rare 'lost wax' bronze by the famous Louis PASTEUR (1822-1895). He walks, very concentrated, a book in his left hand, a pencil in the right. He wears his laboratory uniform, a pelerine over his blouse and his famous cap. The subject rests on a circular terrace with the scriptural indications: "THEODORE RIVIÈRE BRONZE Susse Fes & Fls Paris lost wax" T. Rivière made this bronze between 1900 and 1902. Beautiful patina for a very 'reassuring' attitude of the great man.
