In the early 1920s, Edouard Halouze provided fashion designs for "La Gazette du bon ton" and he participated in an exhibition devoted to "Fashion seen by painters" presented at the Museum of Decorative Arts.
Little by little, his style, mixing cubist decorations and costumes, imposed itself on the covers of programs for the music hall.
In the 1930s, at the height of the Art Deco period, he produced remarkable colored stencil lithographs.
