"Icon Icon Icon Engolpion Circa 1700"
Engolpion Icone, small chest medallion of an Orthodox bishop. "The Grim Eye" strictly painted portrait of the Savior, the gaze is fixed on the observer. Dimensions 11.5cm x 5.5cm x 1.5cm. The small icon is painted in tempera on levka on wood and has a silver riza. The beads attached below are red glass. Creation time around 1700 or before. Very rare collector's item.
