"Important Louis XV Period Console"
Important Console from the Louis XV period. This wide and curved wall console rests on two arched legs adorned with acanthus leaves and decorated with ribbons. The crosspiece as well as the sides are curved, openwork and richly carved with shell and branches. The spacer is decorated with a flower pot. In carved and gilded wood, it is most likely a work from the south of France. The original marble is restored. The restoration remains barely visible, hidden by the veining of the stone. Note the quality of the sculpture which is neat right up to the back of the jambs. Width 131 cm Depth 66 cm Height 81 cm
