"Morse Telegraph Receiver With Keyer"
Circa 1890-1900. Large Morse telegraph receiver consisting of a brass case housing the clockwork, an electromagnet connected to the line wire and earth, and two terminals. The cogs and guides allow signals to be recorded on the narrow strip of paper. It is surmounted by the reel accommodating the rolled up paper strip. The set is fixed on a wooden base. The apparatus is completed by a manipulator consisting of a lever and provided with two contactors, which can oscillate vertically. Reference: Catalog Ericsson, 1892, p. 16, n° 90 and 93. With its complete reel of tape, its key, in good condition, does not bear a serial number.
