"Bark Belt, Vanuatu. Oceania"
Long man's belt (Osinai) made from rolled pieces of bark. It was used to hold the owner's penile sheath in place.The different elements are sewn together with vegetable fibres.
Geometric patterns are painted in brown pigments on the outside, indicating social status.
