"Forged Door Hammer, 17th Century, Dog Head Knocker, Auvergne"
Coming from a 17th century house in Cantal, now completely restored, here is the original knocker, in the shape of a pendant, Forged attachment, the powerful arm with open stirrup, with square base ringed in high relief ends on head of hammer defense dog shaped. The platine, cold chisel cut, comes from my old reserves, same period, and suits it well.
Good condition, as you can see.
Height of endant 17cm, thickness: from 2.5cm to 5cm;
