"Vallauris Important Fountain Around 1960-70"
Rare and imposing fountain circa 1950-60 in Vallauris ceramic attributed to the Auguste Lucchesi workshop (Atelier recently disappeared in 2006 having long been the specialist in fountains in Vallauris) Beautiful neoclassical composition in gray-pink enameled ceramic featuring a seated cupid on a dolphin spitting water, the right arm holding a lantern with three illuminating faces (to be re-electrified), the basin forms a large shell supported by a console base decorated with a large acanthus leaf on the front. Good condition. Dimensions: 1 m 70 high X 68 cm wide X 40 cm deep.
