"Small Mahogany Violin Pedestal Table - 2nd Half Nineteenth"
Graceful little violin-shaped pedestal table, with moving top, made of beautiful expanded mahogany veneer. The perimeter, in solid mahogany, is molded with a corbin's beak groove. The belt of this elegant piece of furniture continuously follows the movement of the top. It opens with two 5 cm deep drawers, opposite each other, across the width of the table. The underside of this headband is enriched with four small sockets. A central shaft in the shape of a vase, nicely worked with gadroons, rests on a largely molded cylindrical element. This base entirely in solid mahogany is stabilized by four superb feet, sculpted in scrolls. The charming ornamentation of this small pedestal table will seduce its future buyers without limits. The reasonable dimensions of this table will allow you to place it easily in the room of your choice. ******** Period: 2nd half of the 19th century.
