Jean-Michel Noquet (1950 -2015) exhibited for the first time in 1975 where he won the watercolor prize, and since then, he has continued to exhibit in France, the United States and Japan.
His works, which may remind us of those of William Turner, open the way to modern impressionism where his form of figuration gives rise to luminosities that reveal moments captured by magic as well as an infinite depth where the unreal blends with the tangible aspect of things.
Jean-Michel Noquet transposes us in a stroke of the brush into the poetry of his timeless works, whose themes are often borrowed from the different eras of Venice, the countryside or the charms of oriental flavors.
He knows how to create a real osmosis between his works and the spectator thanks to a mysterious depth and transparency, which are personal to him.
