Large Isba chair in the style of the return of the Boyars. Mid 19th century. In carved wood, polychrome decoration with geometric and floral motifs. The backrest provided with a traditional Russian fabric painted in trompe l'oeil. Some wear. A drawing of the model circa 1850 is kept in the archives of the Opéra Garnier.
