"Elephant Nymphenburg Porcelain 1900-1914"
In the shadow of a majestic Bavarian castle. In 1747, Max III Joseph, a member of the Bavarian royal house of Wittelsbach, launched the Nymphenburg porcelain factory. This factory is ideally located on the Auer Mühlbach, provider of the hydraulic energy necessary for the operation of the machines, and in the castle of Neudeck, in the vicinity of Munich. Porcelain elephant (stamp of the Nymphenburg factory) numbered 507 – 9, representing a female elephant with lowered trunk.
