Pierre Sojo

Pierre SOJO After the bath acrylic paint on panel 122x100 cm Pierre Sojo was born in December 1990 in Pithiviers. He grew up in contact with the works of his father Jean Anguera and those of his great-grandfather Pablo Gargallo. Very early on, he showed an interest in drawing but his first painting lessons were only given to him at the age of 18, by Marc Chalmé, in Nantes. "At the time, learning classical painting did not interest me, I wanted to be modern. Today, being modern no longer interests me, I want to be sincere". Since then, this young painter has taken up the time to produce a corpus of paintings on various subjects, from mythology to genre scenes, in which he develops a universe of enigmatic characters who evolve in the light of the landscape as well as in the intimacy of the interiors.
