"Beautiful Large Art-nouveau Planter "nereid With Lobster" By Bernard Bloch, Era Galle Royal-dux"
Bemme large ceramic planter decorated with a lobster nereid by Bernanrd BLOCH. Always of high quality, the pieces of this ceramist are fine and very representative of the art-nouveau era. We find here a beautiful cup where a nereid is seated on a rock by the sea. She holds in her hand a large stalk of seaweed that a large lobster seizes by the claws. These sea nymphs were renowned for their incredible beauty and ability to shapeshift. Very fine piece, look at the face or the finesse of the lobster. Beautiful polychromy. Perfect condition, 34 cm long and 23 cm high, signed (Famous BB stamped under the base), circa 1920. Superb aert-nouveau piece.
