Euphémie Muraton (French 1840-1914) Alias: Euphémie Duhanot was born in Beaugency (Loiret) in France and studied art with MA Muraton. Known for her genre, animal and still life paintings, she debuted with her work at the Paris Salon in 1868. She married the history painter Alphonse Muraton, and her son Louis Muraton was also a painter. She became a member of the Society of French Artists from 1888, and received a bronze medal at the Universal Exhibition of 1889. Her works are represented in a number of French museums, including the museums of Rouen, Le Havre, Mulhouse and Dieppe.
