"18th Century Chest In Carved Oak Transformed Into A Renaissance Style Door Buffet"
Superb and imposing Renaissance style carved oak chest. It is very richly carved with pilasters with Ionic capitals in the 4 corners, side facades decorated with a rose window in the middle of a labyrinth of interlacing. The front face is surrounded by a thick frieze of piastres with the head and wings of a cherub in the center in the middle of a decoration of palmettes and interlacing. This chest, which originally opened from the top with a flap, was most certainly transformed in the 19th century into a sideboard opening via a large door (the front panel) and revealing a shelf. This piece of furniture is now usable with a fixed top shelf, so it is easier to decorate with a beautiful statue or candlesticks. Period early 18th century. Very heavy piece of furniture, provide help to unload it. Delivery on pallet by carrier in the DRC, 250 euros in France, 600 euros in the EU and 1500 euros rest of the world. 250 euros in France,
