"17th Century Straw Marquetry Cabinet"
Elegant and rare small 17th century travel cabinet in straw marquetry. it rests on 4 small ball feet and opens in front by 2 doors making it appear 6 drawers in 3 rows. The upper part is discovered by a sliding part forming a secret. The set is decorated with straw marquetry on the drawer fronts with geometric patterns and snakeskin effect on the exterior panels and door fronts. Works of superb quality in house condition showing some slight lacks visible in the photos, entrances and original locks. Rare work for the time.
