Born in 1952, Jean-Paul Chablais is a French painter and sculptor. He works in France, the Czech Republic, Australia, North and South America, Mexico, Costa Rica, Asia, where he has participated in numerous exhibitions. His works are two-dimensional assemblages that combine natural materials such as minerals (marble, limestone, slate), plants (wood, ropes, bamboo, coconut fibers, jute) and animals (leather ). They represent records of his life journey, travel, recordings of his thoughts and feelings.
