"Regulates Fireplace Set - Early Twentieth"
Regulate Mantelpiece Set on a Marble Base, consisting of a Pendulum surmounted by a Large Statue illustrating Neptune and two Vases depicting Fishermen surrounded by waves and seabirds. Signed Louis (1855-1919) and François (1857-1930) Moreau, the main work represents the God of the Seas carrying his trident standing on his Chariot, pulled by sea horses. The lower part has a Clock in working order provided with a Key, presenting a Dial painted with Floral motifs and the Chevassu "Lorient-Brest-Nantes" mark. A plaque is attached to the base where the following statement appears: "Neptune by L. & F. Moreau, Mlle d'Or". On each Vase, a Whaler seems to fight against the elements in order to carry out his mission. This Spelter Fireplace Set rests on a Gray-veined White Marble with a recess. Authentic and picturesque, this Fireplace Trim addresses the Nautical theme in a different Style. A hymn to the Sea highlighting its Power and Magnificence. ******** Period: Early 20th century Shipping possible by Colissimo with suitable protection Additional photos available by clicking on the following link: https://www.antiquites-lecomte.com/boutique/horloges-et-pendules/ensemble -de-cheminee-en-regule-3-pieces-early-20th century Dimensions: Neptune pendulum: Height: 50 cm Width: 27 cm Depth: 20 cm Left vase: Height: 35 cm Width: 14 cm Depth: 20 cm Right vase : Height: 35 cm Width 16 cm Depth: 18 cm Total weight: 16 kg Ref: 748 S
