Pair of beautiful bronze vases decorated using the technique of engraving and inlay of silver, copper and shibuichi (alloy of silver and copper) and gilding. The decorations show compositions of aquatic plants on one side and snails climbing bamboo branches on the other. Japan, Meiji era (1868-1912). Height 22.2 cm, width 11 cm.
