July Cross. Order of the July Cross, instituted by the King on December 1, 1830. 1789 recipients, including 300 soldiers. The honors rendered were similar to the Legion of Honor. Some famous people who have been decorated; Alexandre Dumas, General de la Fayette, Arago, Thiers, Raspail, Barob Haussmann etc. Half size, widely worn. Wear and lack of enamel. Silver, gold centers. Ribbon not compliant but period. 2.5cm
