Incense burner in white and blue porcelain. The boat is led by a young boy. The decoration of birds, flowers and waves is painted in cobalt blue hight-fired underglaze. No mark .Hirado, Mikawachi kilns, Edo period, late 19th century. An identical boat but without the boy (broken or missing from origin) is housed at L.A.C.M.A (Los Angeles).Length.375mm. Good condition, some slight firing defects.
