Oil on wood panel depicting a West African landscape, a view of the village of Djenné. A crowd is gathered at the gates of the village. Beautiful blue and pink tones. Very bright painting which is adorned with a silver wooden frame. It is signed “C. of Saint Remy”. On the back a poster of the sign "Merlin & Denis Fabrique de couleurs fines Paris", formerly located at number 20 rue Soufflot and founded in the year 1861.
