Spectacular pair of torchieres in carved, painted and gilded wood with 5 Louis XIV style sconces. The carved and gilded wooden column in the form of a baluster decorated with foliage and gadroons surmounted by a capital, the eight-sided base painted in a faux marble style and dug to receive a large cylindrical weight ensuring stability. The torchieres with five bronze sconces adorned with superb crystals. Late 19th century work. Electrification redone.
