Superb chalice and its paten in solid silver. Description of the chalice → The body of the cup is decorated with vine branches interspersed with four portraits. The first bears the motto REGNAVIT A LIGNON DEUS, (God reigns by the wood-Psalms of David), the second TANQUAM AGNUS OBMUTESCET (Even the lamb will be dumb), the third PANEM ET VINUM OBTULIT (He offered bread and wine ) and finally the fourth OFFERTUR OBLATIO MUNDA (A pure offering is offered). Minerva hallmark and goldsmith hallmark on the lip as well as on the foot accompanied by the FRA + DONAT signature. Knot in the shape of a crown of thorns recalling the sacrifice of Christ. On the foot are engraved in relief two formulas UNA OBLATIONE CONSUM & MAVIT SANCTIFICATO. Each formula is separated by a representation of Christ on the cross and Christ sharing the bread and wine. Description of the paten → Paten decorated with the triumphant Virgin Mary assimilated to the woman of the Apocalypse (snake under the feet). Signed around Fra Donat. Minerva hallmark and silversmith's hallmark. The chalice is dedicated inside the foot PL and ML to their son GL June 29-30, 1932. Work of the goldsmith Donat Thomasson (1883-1954), Franciscan tertiary known as Fra Donat, co-founder (then president ) in Paris in 1918-1919, with the sculptor Paul Croix-Marie, of the group of Christian artists of the Intenses then of the Artisans de l'autel.
