Quick description Astonishing and old doll bust, circa 1880.
1/1 scale piece, having been used to decorate a store for many decades.
Porcelain head, paperweight eyes, body in boiled cardboard and papier-mâché originally covered with staff and painted.
Note a crack on the back of the head and others on the eyes, still perfectly solid.
The assembly is certainly not original, but it is almost as old as the head.
Very beautiful patina slightly soiled and protected.
