"Very Large Dish Of Offerings Decorated With The Tree Of Life - XVIIth"
The interest of this piece lies as much in its very large and unusual size as in the motif represented.
This offering or collection dish dates from the end of the 16th-beginning of the 17th century.
Embossed brass, engraved and stamped, stylizing the tree of life. It is firmly rooted and its four fruits have multiple seeds, as a symbol of abundance.
John tells us (15-8) "If you bear much fruit, that is how my Father will be glorified, and you will be my disciples."

The tree of life, mentioned several timesin Genesis, is described as being located in the center of the Garden of Eden. It represents eternal life and fellowship with God.
