Embossed silver betel box, Burma, late 19th or early 20th century. The contours are chiseled and decorated with animals in cartouches, the base and the top are slightly flared. The lid, which descends almost to the base, is decorated in repoussé, perhaps in the manner of a mandala, with stupas whose style is similar to the curls of certain sculptures of Buddha's heads.
