Elsie Ward Herig is an American sculptor and was a student of Preston Powers in Denver. She participated in the artistic and associative life of the city, contributing to the Denver's Woman Club, the Denver School of Arts and the Denvers Artist Club.
She followed her career to New York and collaborated with Augustus Saint-Gaudens' Seated Lincoln in Grant Park, Chicago.
She took the name of her husband, the sculptor Henry Hering, after their marriage in 1910.
